From Melissa's Dream Withing a Dream Collection.
The raven faces downwards, symbolic for appraisal to his roots. We all come from somewhere, comprised of thousands of years of evolution and the collective conscience. Rust red dominates, as red is the colour of life, of relations. Barely visible are other sets of wings. We may not see them clearly, but we can feel those we once love all around us.
Each mixed media painting is sealed and then coated 2X with UV protection varnish. They all come with hardware installed, so they are ready to hang and enjoy. Artist signature is found along the side, this paintings does not need to be framed as the paint wraps around the edges.
These particular paintings contain old fragments of artwork from when I was in art school (many moons ago). There is also piano player music sheets found throughout, you can read the words by starting at the bottom and moving up. I enjoy using old materials forgotten, as they can both create new and exciting works and are Eco-friendly.
